life of Stan Tookie Williams. Tookie was the founder of the gang called crips.
His original intent for the gang was to protect his community. The crips grew
larger and more violent than he could ever imagine. The gang took a horrible
turn and became more of a hindrance than help for the community. Tookie was a
very violent man who was charged with murder and suspected of many more. Tookie
was sent to death row to await his execution. While incarcerated he made a
drastic change win an effort to redeem himself for all his crimes as well as
indiscretion.
