PART I

Read through the Activity assignment on page 65. Develop three claims
and select one to take through the From Claim to Draft process. Develop your
outline into a draft (no less than 500 words).

You are encouraged to
complete a first draft of this piece, then revise your work. Submit the entire
assignment as one document (include three claims, one outline, and one final
draft). (The Assignment box may be linked to Turnitin.)

PART II

You will post a fully developed paragraph
that reflects upon the writing process you normally use in
academic writing, and compare that with the steps you followed in drafting your
first writing assignment. Include in your response the
steps that you will continue to engage in, as well as those that didn’t benefit
you.

Remember, a paragraph
must have an introductory sentence and a conclusion. Include information in
your post related to the information you read about the writing process in this
week’s reading assignment.

Your answer should consist of a well-developed paragraph,
which means your first sentence should answer the question (i.e., topic
sentence), and the following sentences should support the topic sentence. The
paragraph should be unified and coherent, with specific supporting details or
examples. The sentences should be clear, concise, and arranged in a logical
order. Transitions, pronouns, and repetition should be used to provide
coherence.
